NFF hails Salihu, Omole, others

The Nigeria Football Federation has congratulated a number of persons and institutions who have shone brightly in the past few weeks, either through receiving important appointments or as a result of being honoured for excellence.
Those prominent persons include Mr. Ladan Salihu, who was appointed the director-general of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Mr. Sola Omole, as director-general of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) and Mr. Ima Niboro, who assumed office recently as director-general of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).Speaking in Abuja on yesterday, NFF general aecretary, Barr. Musa Amadu, also congratulated former international midfielder, Garba Lawal, who has been appointed general manager of Nigeria Premier League club, Kaduna United.

Lawal, who played at the 1998 and 2002 FIFA World Cup Finals for Nigeria and won Olympic football gold in 1996, is also a member of the NFF Technical and Development Committee.
“We also congratulate Channels Television for winning the TV Station of The Year Award and also our own president, Alhaji Aminu Maigari, for his being honoured recently with Award of Excellence by Bauchi State Television.

“We cannot forget the SUN Publishing Company for organising a very
colourful Annual Awards in Lagos on Saturday, at which the head coach
of Super Eagles, Mr. Stephen Keshi, was honoured as Sportsman of the
Year.”
