Former junior international Ibrahim Babangida has passed after a fatal crash along Kaduna-Zaria highway on Thursday.
Blueprint gathered that he was heading to Zaria with his brother and former Super Eagles ace Tijani Babaginda.
The wife of Tijani was reportedly inside the crashed vehicle.
Blueprint reports that while Tijani and wife survived and currently hospitalised, Ibrahim, a former Golden Eaglet died almost immediately.
Tijani was part of the Atlanta 1996 Olympic team that won the gold medal and is currently the President of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria.
Former teammate, Emmanuel Babayaro, the General Secretary, (PFAN), announced the incident in a statement.
