Following plans by the Ebonyi State Governor, Engr. David Nweze Umahi, to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC), from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Rebecca Ogbuewu, has reportedly announced her resignation.
Her purported resignation is coming barely few days after the Commissioner for Inter-Governmental Affairs, Chief Lazarus Ogbee, resigned his appointment on Thursday last week, citing “personal reasons”, with political watchers predicting that more appointees would rather abandon the governor than the PDP.
Though Blueprint is yet to sight her resignation letter, as of the time of filing this report, many Ebonyians have already started celebrating the resignation on social media.
