Concerned staffers call on FG to commence reforms in PTDF

Some staffers of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) have called on the Federal Government to come to their aid with a view to resolving alleged irregularities in recent promotions within the agency, with a view to addressing the problem.

Complaints by some of the staffers who would not want their names in print claimed that promotions in the agency were allegedly predetermined to favour certain individuals, while some receive double promotions.

Those that volunteered information to our reporter attributed the problem to the “absence of a board which  concentrated power on the office of the Executive Secretary.”

According to them, “the situation had significantly lowered staff morale and the impugned on the organisation’s integrity.”

Those staffers affected were said to have called for reforms and government action to ensure fairness and transparency in the operations of the agency.

Attempts to obtain the management’s view were unsuccessful, as multiple calls to PTDF spokesman Lawal Ibrahim were unanswered, as SMS inquiries received no response.
