PDP ‘ll restore lost mandate in Kaduna come 2027 – Katung

The lawmaker representing Southern Kaduna senatorial zone, Barrister Sunday Marshall Katung, has expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would restore its lost mandate in Kaduna state come 2027.

Katung made the remark Thursday during the award of excellence and reception to some dedicated politicians in Jema’a local government, organised by the PDP Gwong/Nenpka Advocacy Network.

Represented by the member Kaduna State House of Assembly Jema’a Constituency, Honourable Ali Kalat, the lawmaker said PDP had all the three Senators in Kaduna state and would definitely put all hands on deck to ensure that all elected officers and stakeholders work together to get the desired result.

He said it was the prayers and desires of all members of the party in the state that power should return to the party, against which backdrop he commended the organisers of the event for their foresight.

He noted that the gesture would spur politicians to add value to their responsibilities, and do the right things that reflect the yearnings and aspirations of the people of their communities.

The senator expressed his readiness to partner the PDP Gwong/Nenpka Advocacy Network and any other group that would work towards the development of the PDP.

Earlier in his address, the Coordinator of the network, Mr Bako Bulus stated that the network was a broad-based PDP advocacy network comprising members drawn from the three wards of Gwong zone in Jema’a local government.

He said their aim was to stand in the gap between the elected and the electorate.

He added that the objectives of the network included bringing political development to Jema’a local government and Kaduna state in general, advocating for unity among PDP members in addition to embarking on membership drive for the party.

Bako Bulus mentioned that the network had decided to give awards of excellence to Honourable Shehu Nicholas Garba, Honourable Labari Tela, Honourable Edward Percy Masha, Architect Ayuba Natsa and Honourable Eli Peter Kadanya for their immense contribution to the development of PDP in Jema’a local government of Kaduna state and the nation at large.

While congratulating the beneficiaries, he urged them not to relent in their efforts to take the area into another level of political development.
