2023 Grammy Awards nominees revealed

Beyonce led the way with an incredible nine nods as the nominations for the 65th Grammy Awards as she smashed the record for most nominations of all time with a total of 88.

Megastars Adele and Kendrick Lamar who both earned seven nominations. The trio of stars will face off in several different categories including top honor album of the year.

The songwriter of the year, non-classical field included; Amy Allen, Nija Charles, Tobias Jesso Jr., The-Dream, and Laura Veltz.

The nominations were announced by Olivia Rodrigo, John Legend, Machine Gun Kelly and Smokey Robinson on Tuesday.

Possible nominees include Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Harry Styles and Adele. Some other hopefuls include Lizzo and Steve Lacy, who both had two of the biggest songs this year.

The new category for songwriters is a huge step forward. Last year, a rule update allowed that any songwriter, producer, engineer or featured artist on an album nominated for album of the year could ultimately earn a nomination.

The four other categories include best spoken word poetry album, alternative music performance, Americana music performance and score soundtrack for video games and other interactive media.

One highly-decorated artist who was not nominated was Bruno Mars who along with Anderson Paak who withdrew their Silk Sonic album from Grammy Awards consideration – one year after scooping up an impressive four awards at the 2022 ceremony.

Bruno, 37, who formed the musical superduo with Anderson, 37, in 2021, told Rolling Stone that the pair’s only album, An Evening With Silk Sonic, would not be submitted for a nomination at the 2023 award.
