The Zamfara state coordinator of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Shatima, Sen. Kabiru Garba Marafa, said a unique campaign mechanism will be arranged to actualise success of APC presidential election in the state, come 2023.
Sen. Marafa who is also aspiring for senate representing Zamfara central senatorial zone in the next election made the pronouncement in a media chat in Gusau Saturday.
He stated that befitting state presidential campaign office has been opened, adding that all the 14 local government areas of the state presidential campaign offices are in the pipeline for proper commencement of the campaign activities in the state.
He said all the technical presidential campaign team have been put in place under his watch to embark on the activities in the state.
“We all know that Zamfara state governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, who is the northwest presidential campaign chairman for Tinubu inaugurated us and we shall strive to make everything better in order to actualise our dream,” Sen. Marafa said.
On the issue of political thuggry, Sen. Marafa said Zamfara state government had established anti thuggry agency to address the trend.
“I want to clearly make it clear that here in Zamfara state, we have anti thuggry regulatory body which comprised police, army, DSS and retired military and paramilitary people who were given mandate to fight against any form of thuggery during campaign, elections and beyond,” he said.
He enjoined politicians regardless of what political party they belong, to shun any form of thuggery and unrest during electioneering campaign, elections and beyond.
He also tasked his campaign team to redouble efforts to ensure unity among members of the APC and its supporters to ensure the party’s victory in all political positions come 2023.
