Unuanel covets 3 points at DSS

Kwara United coach, Samson Unuanel, has said his side will pick their first away points at DSS FC in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Division A midweek’s Matchday 3 tie at the Kaduna Township Stadium.

The Afonja Warriors almost grabbed the three maximum points at Sokoto United in Matchday 1 encounter but ended up sharing the spoils with the hosts.

Unuanel said his wards were boosted going into the match at DSS by the realisation that their place is in the elite league not the lower division.

“The players know we need the points to be where we rightly belonged, the Premier League.
“At least, they’ve realised we’re not supposed to be where we’re at the moment and understand we must work hard to inch back where we’re supposed to be.

“We narrowly missed the three points at Sokoto United in the first game but ended up sharing points.
“We’re heading to Kaduna to attempt grabbing the season’s first three points on the road.

“We’ve done our homework perfectly well; the players are in high spirit and no injury worry among the players.
“We hope everything will turnout well on match day so that we can have time to celebrate,” said the former Ocean Boys’ coach to supersport.com.
The IIorin-based side have garnered four points from two matches in the two-week old league.
