Tow path of honour through hard work, Bjmurphy urges ghetto youths

An inspirational musician and highly talented artist, Bolaji Maruf,  popularly known as Bjmurphy, has called on indigent youths to tow path of honour through patience-embedded hard work, dogged, relentless and tenaciously daring to succeed.

Bjmurphy, who gave the advice on Wednesday in an interview with newsmen in Abuja, expressed belief that the youths coming from poverty-stricken background could make it in life.

“I just release a song “ASIKO MI”(MY TIME)” centres on every ghetto child. It is inspired by my own story, written from the depth of my heart to let the ghetto child knows he can make it.

“He can make it through no matter what, not even his poverty-stricken background can stand in his way,” Bjmurphy said.

According to him, this is targeted at boosting a ghetto child’s self-esteem which has been dampened by the action and inaction of the society.

These, he added, were possible only through hard work ,relentlessness and prayers.

Bjmurphy said: “My song also sets out to sensitise the youths against courting the get rich at all cost syndrome.

“And also, some parents who push their children/wards unnecessarily by mounting undue pressure on them to succeed at all cost even if it is through any negative means available.

‘But this sets out to implore them to tow the path of honour through patience-embedded hard work, by also being dogged, relentless and tenaciously daring to succeed.

“And in the fullness of time, things shall fall in pleasant places for them, as these types of successes even outlive them.
If this mentality is cultivated by and large, the society will have less crimes to combat with and families will have good ambassadors across boards.”
