Sterling One, PWC, others set for Social Impact with ESG series

Sterling One Foundation, which is committed to sustainable development and empowering professionals for social impact across Africa, has joined forces with Price Waterhouse Coopers Nigeria, UNIDO-Investment Technology Promotion Office Nigeria, Lagos Business School Sustainability Center, Sterling Bank, NGX Group, Nigeria Employers Consultative Association, and Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry to unveil the inaugural Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) series.

The programme themed “Understanding ESG and its Business Case,”  aims to equip professionals with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary for successful ESG integration, aligning with global standards.

The initiative underscores the Foundation’s dedication to fostering a deeper understanding of ESG principles and their relevance in today’s business landscape.

The genesis of the ESG Series stems from a workshop held at the 2023 Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS), identifying a knowledge gap within the private sector and the African development ecosystem.

The Foundation extends its gratitude to all partners for their commitment to strengthening professionals’ competencies in integrating ESG principles, thereby driving positive change and attracting investment into the economy.

As ESG considerations become increasingly vital for organizations, the series aims to demystify ESG concepts while emphasising their tangible business benefits.
