A South-west youth leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Yahaya Mojeed, has advised members of the opposition parties to stop unnecessary distraction and allow the ruling government deliver good governance to the citizenry.
Speaking to journalists at the weekend in Abuja, Mojeed debunked allegation that the party ran a ‘killer squad’.
He said the APC had no capacity to operate such a squad as it would not add any value to its image.

He noted that, “the allegation about the existence of a killer squad, or the plans to eliminate some opposition leaders is wild and does not make any sense at all.”
According to him, the federal government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari was determined to implement the manifesto of his political party which would go a long way to curtail sufferings of the masses.

“APC is a progressive party with social democratic ideals to make life more meaningful for majority of Nigerians and that is what we will strive to achieve. Wild allegations from the PDP will not deter President from delivering the dividends of democracy to Nigerians. What Nigerians need now is commonsensical resolution and not drums of war or unnecessary alarm that could incite the public.”
He urged Nigerians to “give this government the chance to work because things that have been destroyed for the past 16 years cannot be corrected in a day. We also advise the opposition parties to adopt more civil and constructive criticisms and not over heat the polity with falsehood,” he said.
