FCT minister tasks traditional rulers on peace

FCT Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Musa Bello has urged all traditional rulers in the territory to ensure peace in their domains.
He emphasised the need for the traditional rulers to continue to enlighten their subjects on government programmes and policies.
The minister made the call while receiving members of the FCT council of chiefs led by its Chairman and Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, who paid him a courtesy call in his office.

He reiterated that peaceful co-existence was important bedrocks for which any meaningful development can take place; emphasising that Abuja remains the window in which the world sees Nigeria.
He enjoined the traditional rulers to pray for his success and that of President Muhammadu Buhari in order to achieve the desired change promised Nigerians.

He said: “We are here to work for the people and therefore I urge you to pray for me and President Muhammadu Buhari for God to give us the wisdom to serve the people better.”
While calling for patience, support and understanding, the Minister promised that the FCT Administration under him would fervently work to improve on the infrastructural development of the FCT so as to guarantee quality life for Abuja residents.
Speaking earlier, Yunusa said his team was in there to congratulate the new Minister and the Permanent Secretary on their appointments and assured them of their total cooperation.
