Snake discovered by midwives in delivery ward of Australian hospital

Midwives at an Australian hospital were discovered to find a small snake curled up in the facility’s delivery ward. Darwin Snake Catchers shared photos of the comfortable children’s python, which staff at Darwin Private Hospital lovingly nicknamed Alfred. “Midwives at Darwin Private Hospital were surprised to find this strange looking baby in the Jabiru delivery ward this morning,” the snake catchers said. Staff placed a small sign underneath the tiny snake which read “This is Alfred Jabiru ward pet snake,” before having the slithering visitor removed. Alfred was ultimately removed from the hospital without incident and released back to the wild. “Little ‘Alfred’ the children’s python was discharged with no issues and is doing well in nearby bushland,” the snake catchers said.
