Customary Government of the Indigenous People of Biafra (CG-IPOB), a pro-Biafra group, has launched a new political movement termed Indigenous Peoples’ Movement (IPM).
According to a release from the Administrator of CG-IPOB, Engr. Anthony Aniebue, the group is to serve as a platform it will use to pursue self- determination via a political process across other ethnic groups all over the country.
The release, however, stated that CG-IPOB would be represented in IPM by Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria (MOBIN), while efforts were on top gear to get the support of other Indigenous peoples of Nigeria into the fold.
“The Coordinator of Indigenous Peoples Movement (IPM) will be announced at a later date. IPM offers a collective platform to all those who believe in the doctrine of self-determination and improving quality of human lives through political participation and mass movement,” it read in part.
