The SSSEG president, Prince Elias Odoemena, Thursday, said President Tinubu deserved commendation for appointing the current Managing Director, Engineer Emeka Agbasi, and giving him a free hand to do good job in the agency.

He described the current Managing Director as a round peg in a round hole, adding that his appointment had paved way for the ongoing numerous road rehabilitation and construction across the country.

Odoemena noted that the zeal with which Engr Agbasi embraced his job at FERMA had led to the delivery of quality roads and reinforced the maintenance culture of FERMA for the benefit of several Nigerians road users.

He said that since the appointment of Engineer Agbasi as the FERMA Managing Director, the agency had already completed work on many roads in the county before the commencement of the rainy season.

Odoemena appealed to President Tinubu to support FERMA in acquiring modern maintenance equipment to enable FERMA deliver quality roads to Nigerians.

The SSSEG also appealed to Nigeria’s President to stop the Corporate Affairs Commission as a matter of urgency from embarking on deregistration companies for inability to pay their yearly fees.
