Plateau: Wase Emir inaugurates JNI chairmen in 17 LGAs, harps on peace

The Emir of Wase and chairman, Plateau state chapter of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), His Royal Highness Sambo Haruna, has admonished the newly inaugurated executive committees of the 17 local government chapter of JNI in Plateau state, to uphold the virtues of good and transparent leadership.

He also cautioned them on the need to work towards mitigating and eradicating drugs abuse amongst Muslim youths in their respective chapters.

The Emir stated Saturday while inaugurating the LGAs chapter chairmen of the JNI, held at the boardroom of the Jos central Mosque.

“As leaders one of your task is to work towards ensuring that peace is maintained amongst the people.

“You should work at not disabusing the minds of the youths, but to also see to it that intake of illicit drugs and drugs abused are minimise and possibly bring an end to it,” he said.

Emir Sambo called on well to do individuals to always see the importance of rendering help to the less privileged members of the society.

Also speaking, the Plateau State Secretary of JNI, Dr. Salim Musa Umar, while commending the exemplary leadership of Emir Sambo Haruna, further appreciated the good work of the Emir of Kanam, His Royal Highness Muhammadu Babangida Muazu, who chaired the election committee that produced the 17 LGAs chairmen of the JNI.

Salim highlighted the some of the major feats of successes in the 17 Local chapters of the JNI, adduced the seamless conduct of the elections, amongst others.
