The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) will hold its1440AH (2019) annual Ramadan lecture on Saturday May 11, 2019.
A statement by the Secretary of the 2019 Ramadan committee, Mr. Lateef Dada, said the theme of this year Ramadan lecture is “Terrorism and Islamaphobia: Plight of the Ummah.
According to the statement, a senior lecturer from the Federal College of Education, FCE, (Special), Oyo, Imam Daud Tijani Igiogun, will be the guest lecturer.
The statement said that the Governor of the state of Osun, Mr Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola, is the special guest of honour, while the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba AbdurRasheed Olatunde Adebomi, Odundun IV, is the royal host.
“Oba Qamor’deen Adeyemi Bello Adeyanju, Ilufemiloye I, Alawode IV, the Olororuwo of Ororuwo, is the royal father of the day.
“The speaker, state of Osun House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Najeemdeen Folasayo Salaam, is the Chairman of the day and former Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, is the guest of honour.
The statement urged members of NUJ in Osun state and the general public to attend the lecture slated for 3pm.
