NNL: Plateau Utd shred Kwara Utd

Plateau United’s Daddy Morris’ 56th minute well executed free kick off 30 metres earned the host team a lone goal victory to send the Kwara United FC back to Ilorin empty handed in the week 11 of the ongoing Nigeria National League played at the Jos Rwang Pam Township Stadium at the weekend.

Both sides united to serve scintillating football with most of the tip-tap play done in the midfield but it was the hosts that had a better edge that paid off as the visitors caved in, conceding the only goal of the encounter.

In a related development, results of matches played indicated that Jigawa Golden Stars beat Mighty FC 1 – 0, Wikki Tourists hammered Kogi United 2 – 0.
Niger Tornadoes hit DSS 2 – 0, while Adamawa FC were one goal better than Sokoto United. Katsina Spotlight overran Ranch Bees 3 – 0, while FRSC caged Prison FC 5 – 2.

In the week 7 of the Glo Premier League, Sharks feasted on  Nassarawa United 2 – 0, Akwa United and Kano Pillars laboured (abandoned in the 87th minutes due to rain), while Warri Wolves howled to a 1- 0 win over Flying Antelopes of Enugu as the Rangers are also called.
