The Edo state chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Thursday, picketed the Labour Party (LP) secretariat located in Benin City.
The Vice Chairman of NLC in the state, Comrade Suleiman Abubakar, who led officials to the secretariat accused the National Chairman of LP, Bar Julius Abure of running the party like his personal business.
Abubakar also said they picketed the secretariat over alleged financial rascality and contempt of the LP National Chairman.
Reacting, the Publicity Secretary of the LP in Edo state, Comrade Sam Uropka, said the NLC has abandoned its primary responsibility to Nigerian workers, adding that whereas, workers are dying of hunger and other challenges facing Nigeria.
