A former Zamfara state governor, Abdulaziz Yari and Senator elect for Zamfara west senatorial zone has described his victory as an act of God Almighty.
Yari stated this in an interview with newsmen at his resident in Talata Mafara town, headquarters of Talata Mafara local government shortly after he was declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC Monday.
He further commended the electorates who voted for him during the election in his constituency .
According to him, Zamfara west senatorial zone will have good representation at the upper chamber during his stewardship.
“I want to assured my constituents that during my stay in the Senate, I will protect their legitimate right through bringing positive change that could have direct bearing for them “. He said.
Sen. Yari also lauded the security agencies and INEC officials for conducting hitch free and peaceful election in Zamfara state.
He called on people in the state particularly legible voters to vote for Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle in the upcoming governorship and states assembly election under APC for the development of the state .
Yari further called on APC supporters in the state to remain law abiding and eschew any forms of unrest during the forthcoming governorship and states assembly election to enable APC win the election in the state.
