Premier League week 37 preview: Manchester City face Fulham as United host Arsenal

Manchester City travel to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham, with claiming maximum points the only thing on the agenda. The Citizens are in solid form, with a 5-1 thrashing of Wolves last time out making it six league wins in a row.

Erling Haaland was on song in that game, netting four times, and he will look to power the defending champions to yet another three points.

Fulham have picked up one win in their last seven, but they will take inspiration from the fact that they have beaten the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham in front of their fans this season.

Their record against City isn’t the best however, losing the last 16 matches in a row to Pep Guardiola’s side. A similar outcome should be on the cards.

Tottenham will look to halt a four game losing run when they host Burnley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Lilywhites’ Champions League qualification hopes are hanging by a thread following yet another defeat to Liverpool, and must now win their remaining matches to be in with a chance of qualification.

In their way is a Burnley side who look destined for a swift return to the Championship, as Vincent Kompany’s men will go down should they fail to claim the points here.

Nottingham Forest will be desperate to pick up three points in a crucial clash with Chelsea at the City Ground. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are just three points off the relegation zone with two games to go, after an appeal to overturn a four points deduction was rejected.

They will fancy their chances of getting a positive result against a Chelsea side they haven’t lost to in three games, and who they beat 1-0 at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season.

Chelsea have won their last two games against Spurs and West Ham, scoring seven goals and conceding none. Can they spoil the Forest party?

Newcastle will aim to tighten their grip on sixth place when they entertain Brighton at St. James’ Park. In a season decimated by injuries, the Magpies seem to be finishing strongly, as they have won five of their last seven matches, the most recent being a 4-1 drubbing of Burnley.

They are two points ahead of seventh placed Chelsea, and five points behind fifth placed Spurs, and have won their last two against Brighton, scoring six goals. Brighton ended a six game winless run with a 1-0 home win over Aston Villa, but St. James’ Park is not a happy ground for the Seagulls, who could be put to the sword here yet again.

Crystal Palace will travel to the Molineux to take on Wolves, as Oliver Glasner’s side look to build on a resounding 4-0 win over Man United.

Everton will be eyeing a home win when they welcome relegated Sheffield United to Goodison Park.

On the back of a shock 5-0 loss to Chelsea, West Ham will hope to find their bearings when Luton Town visit the London Stadium.

Bournemouth and Brentford will do battle at the Vitality Stadium, with both teams looking to climb up the table.

On Sunday, Arsenal will look to post a fifth league win in a row when they make the trip to Old Trafford to face Man United.

The Gunners were 3-0 winners over Bournemouth last time out to keep their title hopes alive, but they could find themselves bumped down to second place should City prevail against Fulham.

They haven’t enjoyed their trips to United, however, as their last win on this ground was four years ago.

United though are in horrific form, having been bashed 4-0 by Crystal Palace last time out.

They have won just one of their last four league games, against Sheffield United, and unless the footballing gods are on their side, the Red Devils could be in for another beating against a Gunners side who are looking to push City right down to the wire.
