People of Sabon Garin Nangere, the headquarters of Nangere Local Government Area (LGA) were thrown into mourning on Saturday when they received the news of the passing away of their paramount traditional ruler, the Emir of Tikau, Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar Ibn Grema.
Blueprint gathered that the Emir died on Friday night at the Specialist Hospital in Potiskum after a brief illness.
According to the palace, details of the funeral prayers will be communicated in due course.
Among other things, the Mai Tikau would be remembered for his generosity, love for the masses, as he was a champion of environmental protection.
