My government committed to massive infrastructure development – Bago 

 

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger state has assured of the commitment of his administration to massive infrastructural development.

He stated this Monday during unscheduled inspection of the ongoing  construction of the Suleja-Madalla dual carriageway. 

He said, “Our administration is committed to massive infrastructural development of the state. We will not compromise standards in the execution of projects.”

The governor directed the contractor handling the project to adhere strictly to maintenance of high quality, adding that, “the project must meet all specified standards and delivered on schedule in accordance with the contract agreement. Quality must be maintained because the state government will not compromise standard.”

The governor interacted with the contractors handling the project alongside the chairman of New Niger Development Projects, Mustapha Abubakar Bida and the Commissioner for Works, Suleiman Umar.

The governor encouraged the youth to take advantage of the ongoing project and provide services that would earn them money.

The Suleja-Madalla dual carriageway, according to the governor is part of the projects to be executed under the urban renewal policy of the state, aimed at  improving  transportation infrastructure, enhancing socio-economic development and quality of life for residents.
