‘Let all schools be faith-based schools’

Chairman, Board of Governors, Evangelical Church of Winning All (ECWA), Theological Seminary, Igbaja (ETSI) in Ifelodun local government, Elder Samson Opaluwa, has advocated for schools in the country to be made faith-based.
Opaluwa said this in an interview with Blueprint during the appreciation and installation ceremony organised for the immediate past Provost of the school, Rev. Julius Lawal, and his successor, Rev. Stephen Baba, at the school campus.

“All schools should be fate based so that all students can learn both academic and spiritual knowledge,” he said.
The elder charged the schools to be committed to producing graduates “that are well taught on God’s way to impart good moral teachings and lessons on the decaying Nigerian society.”
The chairman, Board of Governors also charged the management to focus on the spiritual upliftment of the school, its physical development, facilities and academic standards.

Opaluwa said the processes that lead to the emergence of the new provost were transparent and guided with the fear of God and that the decisions reached were unanimous taken till the period of confirmation of the appointed candidate for the position of provost by the ECWA executive.
He praised the immediate past provost of the college, saying his “contributions to the development of ETSI shall remain indelible.”
