Lagos: Police commence investigation into murder of 15- year-old boy 

Operatives of Lagos State Police command have uncovered the mystery around the death of a 15-year-old boy, Chukwuemaka Jerome, who was allegedly killed inside a living room in Lagos.

The incident happened at No.54, Niyi Onilare street, off Lateef Adegboyega street, Ago-Okota, Lagos, where they lived.

The late Chukwuemaka’s father, Mr. Jerome, said   he was greeted with the news of his son’s death upon returning home from his work on Monday.

Mr. Jerome told the Police that when he went to his room, he met his child’s lifeless body lying on the floor with his two hands tied to the back with a rope while his neck was slaughtered as he was turned in an upside down position.

Confirming the incident, Lagos state Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Police, SP, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that the incident happened on October 10,2022, at about 2000hrs when one Jerome Akunwanne of No. 54, Niyi Onilare Street, off lateef Adegboyega Street, Ago-Okota, Lagos, came to the station and reported that on this same date at about 1900hrs when he was coming back from work he saw people gathering and shouting in front of his compound that his son by name Jerome Chukwuemaka, 15- year-old, wass dead.

He stated that when he went to his room, he met his lifeless body lying on the floor with his two hands tied to the back with a rope while his neck was slaughtered as he was turned upside down.
