Katsina set to support women in export development

Katsina state government has said, it will support the participation of women into private business development through improved access to finance under the women scheme export development programme.
The state Deputy Governor, Mannir Yakubu, disclosed this yesterday while inaugurating the state steering committee on women in export in his office.
He said, the present administration will provides the frame work for women to enable them contribute effectively in achieving the desire in increasing the proportion of non – oil revenue in the state.
According to him, the women in export programme will be encourage to focus on integrating small medium enterprises into global supply chain within the overall policy objectives of employment generation.
Mannir said, the initiative is quite in tandem with the Masari administration’s Restoration Agenda of Women and Youth empowerment, wealth creation and employment generation.
He said, the steering committee is therefore constituted to provide technical direction in the articulation of the women in export development programme.
