The chairman Kano state FA, Inuwa Rabiu Ahlan has disclosed that the association has introduced a fitness test that will determine officiating officials that partake in the officiating of its league matches.
He made the disclosure yesterday in Kano, when the new exco of the state Referees Council paid him a courtesy visit, adding that, the state FA is working rigorously to sanitize officiating of matches in the state.
“I want to remind our referees in the state about the challenges ahead of you, particularly this time around that the Nigeria Football Federation is working round the clock to sanitize officiating.
“The Association has introduce fitness test for referees in the state and only those that pass the test would be allowed to officiate organized football competitions in the Kano state, Ahlan stated.

applauded Kano Pillars fans club for their concerted efforts that brought to an end the era of soccer hooliganism in the state.
He vowed the readiness of the association to work with groups alongside persons nursing the zeal to move the game of football forward in the state.
Earlier in his remark, the newly elected chairman, Kano state Referees Council, Alhaji Nasiru Ibrahim said they where at the Kano FA secretariat to reaffirmed their loyalty to the association and to congratulate the chairman on his election as a board member in the Nigeria Football Federation.
Meanwhile ,the management of reigning champions of the Nigeria Professional
Football League, Kano Pillars fc has fired its gaffer, Okey Emordi.
The club’s media officer, Rilwan Malikawa Garu yesterday announced
the decision by the Kano side to part ways with Emordi.
According to him, the resolve to sack the coach was reached by the
club’s new board being chaired by Kabiru Beita.
The board thanked Emordi for the services he has rendered to the club,
while wishing him the best in his future endeavors.
