Institute moves to support children with autism, learning disabilities

The management of The Zamarr Institute (TZI), has commenced preparations for the support of children living with disabilities in the country.
The school authority in a statement made available for Blueprint, named children with autism, mentally challenges and those with learning disabilities as its focal areas.
The statement stressed that these classes of children could be effectively trained and educated, but emphasised that early step-taking was necessary.

“The Zamarr Institute is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation dedicated to providing the above services in addition to creating awareness and training for educators, medical professionals and the public”. The statement added.
This year, the Institute said preparations were on to organize a programme tagged: “Celebrating Ten Years of Making a Difference” in the lives of people with special education needs, who had attended the Institute as well as the teachers and those who cared for the needy.
“We have lined up several activities starting with a three-kilometers walk on World Autism Awareness Day on April 2 with seminars, workshops and dinner scheduled take place before the end of the year.
