Gunmen release 3 Iseyin farmers in Oyo after collecting N10 million ransom

Three of the kidnapped farmers at the Oyo state Farm settlement in Iseyin on Friday regained their freedom after their abductors reportedly collected N10 million ransom from their families.

It was learnt that the fourth farmer was shot dead during the week when their abductors engaged security agencies trailing them I. shootout.

Blueprint gathered that the N10 million ransom was released to the kidnappers through their approved network to avoid loss of lives.

It was also learnt that the released farmers were sighted at the farm upon their arrival before they were taken to the police station.

The chairman of the Farm Settlement, Mr. Rasheed Adepoju, expressed happiness over the release of the farmers, stressing that the entire farm settlement community was relieved that they came back home alive.

”While we mourn the death of one of the victims that met his untimely death at the hands of the abductors, we want to thank God that the rest are back home and are going to be with their families. We shall talk more about this as time goes, this is too shocking,” he said.
