Giwa FC happy with win over Nembe city

Giwa FC coach, Aminu Musa is relishing his side midweek victory, saying his boys the three points picked against bottom-placed side, Nembe City.
The Tin City side defeated Nembe City 2-1 in the Wednesday’s rescheduled Glo Premier League match day 17 clash at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos.

It took the Elephant, as Giwa FC are known, half an hour to take the lead through Amos Gyang  Dadung.
Dadung benefited from a rebound to score the game’s opening goal. And thirteen minutes later he made it two through a sublime finish.
Musa said his wards could have comfortably won the encounter with as many as four goals but for the woodwork that denied his side scoring opportunities.

“We played far better than Nembe City and ably deserved to win the encounter with as many goals as four but for the woodwork that cheated us of goals.
“I’m happy we grabbed the maximum three points to take our total points to 44 which is a great boost in our battle to finish the season strongly.
“Nembe City were not push-over as they came out strongly in the second half to challenge for the points scoring their consolation goal in the clash.

“They created some anxious moments for us but I thank my wards for standing up to their ceaseless onslaught and finishing the game on high.
“We’re boosted with this hard fought victory heading to the away game at Lobi Stars in Katsina-Ala, I’m confident we’ll come back with a positive result,” said Giwa FC goalkeeper coach to supersport.com.
The victory against Nembe City takes the Glo Premier League newcomers total earning to 44 points from possible 87 in the 29-week old Nigerian topflight.
