We must move Nigeria forward – Wada

Kogi state Governor, Captain Idris Wada, has called on Nigerians to do everything possible to move the nation forward for the betterment of the citizenry.
Wada who stated this yesterday in Lokoja, while speaking with journalists as part of activities to mark the nation’s 54th anniversary, said the country needed collective efforts of every Nigerians to move the nation forward.

He said: “We must strive hard to fix Nigeria. We must all remain resolute and be determine to move the nation forward because we have no other country and it will take the efforts of every Nigerian to move the nation forward.
“The celebration calls for renewed unity, patriotism and loyalty to the government to move the nation and the people forward particularly along the line of transformation agenda of the federal government so that we would have a nation of our dream.”

Wada noted that the 54th independence was a period to celebrate and a period to reflect on moving the nation forward “because of the security challenges that has befallen the country in recent time.”
While commending the efforts of federal government in the tackling the challenge of insecurity so far, he added: “We must give thank to almighty God for keeping us together as a nation and the progress we have made despite the various challenges we have passed through.
“So far, we are succeeding as the president said recently; by the grace of God we shall overcome the challenges of insecurity in the country.”
