Bala, wife vote, hail peaceful conduct of presidential election in Bauchi

Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed alongside his wife, Aisha Bala Mohammed have casted their ballots at the ongoing presidential and national assembly elections in the state. 

Speaking to journalists shortly after casting the ballot at his Bakin Dutse polling unit in Alkaleri local government area of the, the governor expressed satisfaction with the maturity being exhibited by the electorate in the electoral process. 

He applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC for the introduction of various reforms which attributed it to the peaceful conduct of the elections across various polling units across the state. 

“I am highly fulfilled and accomplished. We give praise and gratitude to our creator, the Almighty Allah that has made us to see this day that we are electing our new president and national assembly members after so many fears. I want to express my satisfaction with the peaceful conduct  of the polls in my polling unit, definitely we can say democracy is progressing.”

Governor Bala urged teeming supporters of his party to remain focus and not to engage in any electoral malpractice for the smooth conduct of the elections in the state. 

On her part, the state first lady, Aisha Bala Mohammed applauded the full participation of women in the process in her polling unit, and urged them not to relent in supporting the process for democratic development.
