Breaking: Popular Senator votes, confirms PDP chairman dead on presidential election day

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial candidate for the FCT, Senator Philip Aduda, has voted in the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

He voted by 10:55am at Polling Unit 036, Police Outpost, Old Chief Palace, Karu, Abuja.

Addressing journalists immediately after casting his vote, Aduda commended officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, saying that the elections have been peaceful so far.

He said that, though there have been complaints from different polling units, he is so far happy with the elections.

Aduda also lamented the death or the the FCT PDP Chairman, Sunday Zakka, in a road accident, few hours to the commencement of the elections.

He said Zakka was a committed party man who was working for the victory of the PDP until his death.
