APC sets up committee for youth welfare

The National Youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has set up a committee that will liaise with the leadership of the party and the government in all matters that has to do with youth.
The committee is also expected to negotiate on all matters on behalf of the youth of the party and report from time to time their activities to the National Youth leader in order to effectively champion the interest of the youths.

While inaugurating the committee in Abuja, yesterday, National Youth leader of APC, Hon. Ibrahim Dasuki Jalo, said the youth wing of the party would continually strive to evolve better and more inclusive nation in which every youth is a proud committed stakeholder.
The youth leader explained that the composition of the committee was drawn from the six geopolitical zones, with the each zone represented by one member while the deputy national youth leader and six zonal leader are members.

He told the 13-man committee not to be under any illusions as they begin their assignment, saying over the coming weeks, the committee will be confronted with complex and emotive issues while strong views will be expressed by many people.

According to him, “ the committee therefore, will engage in intense introspection about the challenges confronting our youth and to chart the best and most acceptable way for the resolution of such challenges in the overall collective interest of all the Nigerian youth.
The 13 man committee include the APC deputy national youth leader, Sobande Sesan as chairman, Barrister Shehu Marsha as secretary, Terver Aginde, Femi Egbedeyi, Micheal Tanko, Tunde Eseigbe, Paul Chukwuma and Damilola Elemo.
Others are Chuks Nwanodu, Jasper Azuatalam, Ghazali Mohammed, Agboola Abdurahman and Shamsudden Giwa.
