The deputy national publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Comrade Timi Frank, has accused the national chairman and national secretary of his party, Chief John Oyegun and Alhaji Mai Mala Buni, of breaching the party’s constitution even as the duo refused to recognise him as the acting National Publicity Secretary.

He said if the party continued the way it was now, he would have no option than to drag the party to court.
While revealing reasons his party lost the just concluded governorship election in Bayelsa state, he said he warned the former governor, Timipre Silva and the leadership of the party over the defeat.
Addressing newsmen yesterday in Abuja, Frank said he had forewarned that if urgent measures were not taken, the party would suffer defeat and it did.

“Times without number I have said it that the Bayelsa APC has issues. Issues that were not attended to and I have been shouting a long time ago that if we do not resolve our issues and we go into this election, we will loose Bayelsa but nobody listened to me.
“I cried and spoke to some of our leaders about the issue and importance of reconciliation but the man in question and former governor of Bayelsa, Timi Priye Silva who was also our candidate, failed to listen, thinking he could do it all alone but this is the result.

“He thought he could do all alone and I made it clear to Nigerians when I granted interview that with Silva, we would lose the election and I still stand on that position and the results have played out.”
On the reason why he has not been speaking for the party, he said, “Well that again, l will use this opportunity to really speak out my mind. I have kept quiet for too long on this issue. I have approach my national chairman, I have even written an official letter regarding to this, to allow me to exercise my right as the Acting National Publicity Secretary of the party”.
