Newly appointed Super Eagles head coach Finidi George and chieftains of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) met behind closed doors formulating strategy on how to put 2026 World Cup back on track.
Finidi after the marathon meeting on Friday afternoon told Blueprint Sports that “we discussed on several issues but the most important is how to tackle the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifier against South Africa and Benin Republic in Abidjan.
“We also discussed the invitation of players, my assistants and contract.
“Very soon, I will sign the contractual papers. We are still putting finishing touches to the details.
“The meeting is insightful and purposeful. We touched on several areas , I’m sure more details will be unveil in the next couple of days.”
