2023 Census: NPC holds stakeholders engagement on E- recruitment in Damaturu

As part of preparation for 2023 census exercise, National Population Commission (NPC), Yobe state office has on Tuesday organised a stakeholder’s engagement meeting on the commencement of online recruitment of ad-hoc staff for 2023 population and housing census.

The event which took place at the AUCPTRE Office Damaturu drew stakeholders from Yobe East Senatorial District.

Speaking at the occasion, the Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission (NPC) Yobe state, represented by the state Director NPC Iyawa D. Madagwa, urged the stakeholders present to disseminate the recruitment information to the grassroots level for communities to participate.

In his remarks, the Head of Census NPC yobe state office, Mr Saidu Audu, said NPC in Yobe will recruits over 20,000 ad-hoc staff for the 2023 population and housing census in the state.

Audu stated that applicants must be Nigerians, indigenes of Yobe, computer literate or are able to manipulate an android phone with minimum of Secondary certificate.

Also, highlighting more on the ad-hoc staff application criteria, the NPC Head of ICT, Yusuf Machina, revealed that all candidates must have National Identification Number (NIM) and a functional Gmail account.

He further noted that other criteria are, “Functional phone number, an operational commercial bank account (No students/NYSC Account), and relevant educational qualifications.

 He said the portal was opened on 27th October 2022 and would close on 10th December 2022.
