Yuletide: P-Noble lauds Nwifuru over N100,000 Christmas largesse to Ebonyi workers

Member representing Afikpo North East constituency in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon Oluchukwu Ukie Ezeali (P Noble), has commended the Ebonyi state governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, on his disbursing N100,000 each to Ebonyi state workers for the celebration of Christmas.

In an interview with our reporter on Friday, P Noble said the Christmas bonus by Nwifuru shows a humane approach to governance, “which informed the pro-people policies he has been rolling out for the good people of Ebonyi state.

He said the payment of N100,000 Christmas bonus to all state workers is the first of its kind in the state, especially the payment of full gratuities of all retirees in the state.

He said: “His Excellency has indeed made history and has written his name on the gold in the anals of Ebonyi political history. While I applaud His Excellency for this uncommon kind gesture of his towards Ebonyi workers, I must state without mincing words that I am not surprised about His Excellency’s passionate heart towards humanity.

“This has been attested by his immediate approval for construction of Uji bridge road, Ndibe, Afikpo, which posed as a plight and death trap to motorists and residents of the area, following my passionate appeal to him for its construction. He gave a listening ear to my appeal and swung into action immediately, thereby making the challenge, a thing of the past.

“Ebonyians are indeed grateful to their humane Governor for prioritising their welfare. Suffice it to say that His Excellency has held tenaciously to the People’s Charter of Needs mantra of his administration since he assumed office as Governor.

“I wish to, however, felicitate with Ebonyi workers for being a beneficiary of this very kind gesture of our dear Governor. Merry Christmas and happy New Year to us all.”
