The dean of the faculty of law, University of Abuja, Dr. Kasim Musa Waziri, has said that Nigeria will remain a corrupt nation, if the relevant government organisations saddled with responsibility of fighting the menace, fail to so, genuinely.

Waziri, who made this assertion at an annual symposium, entitled: ‘Leadership and Service”,  said “when you teach and discover that the youths you are teaching are getting to be engage in bad leadership culture, then you are going to have fear that you are not going to do anything for the children.

Waziri said, “Nigeria must be reminded that the task is for everyone not only the government or the civil society should fight against bad governance and corruption in the national life”.
He called on other well meaning Nigerians to embark on intensive campaign against the menace, which according to him, had become a canker worm in Nigeria’s national life.
Also speaking, Barrister Lanre Aladeitan, Head, Public and International Law University of Abuja, noted: “We intend, through this programme, to educate our students on the concept of leadership in service”.
He said youth have good ideas, but if they are not properly moulded, then it had become a problem to society, but if you mould them well, it is in the best interest of our country, especially now that we have a new regime coming on board.

Aladeitan further stated: “We want to let the youth know that leadership is not wealth, we are trying to redefined the concept of leadership for them to realise that it is all about service and building of character, change of character to say no to corruption and immorality”
