Operatives of Edo state police command have arrested a 19-year-old boy for allegedly raping a nursing mother (names withheld) in Etsako East local government area of the state.
The suspect identified as Peter Momoh was said to have stormed the victims’ home at about 4am and threatened to kill his three-month-old baby if she refused to have sexual intercourse with him.
It was learnt that the nursing mother was alone in her apartment when the rapist struck.
The woman, 25, said: “He came in to my house through the window and grabbed by baby. He turned his head upside down and told me he would hit my baby on the floor if I did not allow him to sleep with me.

“I pleaded that he should leave my baby for me because I gave birth to him through caesarian, but he refused.”
She further disclosed that when it became apparent that the victim would not let go of his demand, she had no option than to succumb.
Blueprint further gathered that luck, however, ran out of the suspect when the woman raised alarm as he made to take his leave after the intercourse.
The victim said: “As a result of my shouting, some of my neighbours came out and I explained what happened to them.
“They immediately launched a manhunt for the boy by tracing his footsteps to his house. When they got to his house, they saw him opening his door to enter. That was how they caught him and handed him over to the police.”
Reacting to the development, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Noble Uwoh, confirmed the incident, stating that the matter was still under investigation.
