NURTW constitutes 16- member committee in FCT

The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has put in place a sixteen members committee to pilot the affairs of the union in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)

This followed a judgment delivered by Justice O.O Oyewumi of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) siting in Abuja , in a suit NO NICN/Abj/263/2023 Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa and 13 others vs Alh.Najeem Usman Yasin and 6 others

In the said judgment, the Court declared all actions as taken by the Alh. Najeem Usman Yasin led Interlopers since their inglorious forceful takeover of the National Secretariat of the union as unlawful, null void of no effect whatsoever.

Speaking with Journalists Thursday in Labour House Abuja, Acting General Secretary of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Comrade

Suleiman Abdulkadir Musa said with the judgement of NICN, and in accordance with constitution of the union in Article 42, section 7 subsection (1)(11)and (111), there is need for caretaker committee to avoid vacuum in the Council

According to Comrade Abdulkadir Musa, the sixteen members committee is Ajibola Ashimolowo as chairman, Abdulkarim Shuaibu as deputy Chairman, Saidu Musa as Treasurer, Ahmed Scatter as member.

Other members are Yusuf Danbaba , Abdul azeez Jaru, Taiwan Osobu, Bomber to Bomber, Mohammed Abdullahi, Saidu Karu, Yakubu Suleiman, Baba Lokoja ,Comrade Anthony Eya , Angelo Abaji, Lawrence while Abdullahi Sani Galadima is to serve as secretary of the committee.

The acting General Secretary said the committee is to serve for three months
