Nigeria will play South Africa in Uyo while facing Benin Republic in Abidjan.

An impeccable source has revealed to Blueprint Sports that Coach Finidi is sticking with virtually the team that won silver at AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire to prosecute the two crucial matches.

Finidi is expected to submit the list of 26 players he would need to prosecute these important games in the next few days before invitation are sent to their various clubs in Europe.

According to the source, the time is too short for any experimentation since he knew them and was part of the backroom staff of Jose Peseiro.

Of course, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, Francis Uzoho are expected to make the cut.

While in defence, players like Jamilu Collins, Bruno Onyemaechi , Ola Aina, Kenneth Omeruo, Calvin Bassey, Bright Osayi-Samuel barring any unforeseen circumstances are expected to get call up for the games.

Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka, Samuel Chukwueze, Ademola Lookman are some of the players our correspondent scooped are on the list and with Frank Onyeka having an excellent season with Brentford

Up front Finidi has the likes of Cyriel Dessers, Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Osimhen and with Victor Boniface returning to Bayer Leverkusen having miss out on AFCON due to injury the lanky forward is definitely set to return to the Super Eagles.

Of course, there will be few new faces but Finidi is still keeping everything close to his chest.
