Super Eagles my priority, not Zamalek – Peseiro

Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro has distance himself from applying for a managerial job with Zamalek in Egypt.

Recall that on Monday, the Portuguese tactician was reported to have applied to coach Egyptian club despite having a contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

However, in a chat with btolat.com, Peseiro has revealed that he has no contact with the club and that he’s more focused with the Super Eagles job.

“At the present, all my focus is on the Nigerian national team only,” the Portuguese told btolat.com.

“There are no negotiations from Zamalek in any case and I am not thinking about anything else.”

Peseiro is under pressure following the Super Eagles poor start to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.

There have been persistent calls for his sack after the Super Eagles could only draw their opening two games against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
