Sallah: Make fear of God foundation of your lives, NCWS urges Muslims

The National Council for Women Societies (NCWS), has urged Muslims to make fear of God the foundation of their lives, as they celebrate the 2019 Eid-el-Kabir.

The National President of the council, Mrs Gloria Shoda, in a goodwill message on Sunday, said Eid-el-Kabir Festival symbolised the fear of God and the desire of man to always comply with the wishes of his creator.

She urged the Muslim faithful to uphold their obedience to God in the spirit of forgiveness for one another.

Shoda described Islam as a religion that upholds the spirit of love, peace and charity, and preaches harmonious living relationship with other religions adherents.

She also urged Muslims to expand the spiritual benefits of Sallah by ensuring and promoting peaceful co-existence with each other and among people of other faiths.

According to her, “I feel the pains my people are going through daily on Lagos-Badagry expressway, and the federal government has directed contractor handling the project to start palliative measure in order to make the road easier to ply by commuters.

“I am very optimistic that with our collective efforts, these challenges are surmountable, and we will soon overcome them,” she said.
