Ramadan: NASFAT urges Muslims to follow Allah’s path

As the holy month of Ramadan gets closer, the Nasrul-Lahi-il-Fathi Society of Nigeria (NASFAT) Kaduna state chapter has called on Muslims to strive hard and follow the part of Allah in order to reap the benefits of the fasting and enjoy Allah’s favour.
The group stated this yesterday in a statement by its Public Relations Officer, Hajia Zainab Tanimu, in Kaduna, said the holy month of Ramadan “is a month that all Allah’s teaching and injunction must be strictly adhered to as stated in the Quran and Hadith of Prophet Mohammed (SAW).”

It said: “It is not enough to keep away from eating and drinking during this period without fulfilling other attributes associated with the month, this includes the prayers and remembering the poor during the month and beyond.
“Keeping away from food without observing Allah’s teachings is like embarking on hunger strike which has no reward.”
In a remark, the zonal Coordinator and chief missioner, Kaduna branch, Alhaji Marooph Raji, added that the Kaduna zone of NASFAT would embark on its traditional feeding of the needy throughout the month of Ramadan.
He, therefore, called on well meaning Nigerians to support the noble course by helping in feeding and clothing the needy during the holy month.

Raji also advised Muslim parents to ensure that they bring up their children in the way of Allah “because family is the foundation of every society and all the problems, including insecurity in the country today, is because people, especially Muslims, have diverted from the teaching of Quran and follow their own way.”
He said: “Treat your family as a social unit, and spend quality time with them in order to uphold the unity and trust among the family.

Working parents should find time to sit with their children because it is by so doing that they will have the gut to speak out their mind.
“I want to implore traders not to unnecessarily increase the prices of food stuff and other essential commodities during Ramadan so as not to make live more difficult for the people.”
