Prominent Yoruba monarch is dead

The traditional ruler of the Mowe community in the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, Oba Festus Oluwole Makinde, has joined his ancestors.

The monarch, also known as the Onigbein of Igbeinland, passed on at the age of 85, on Tuesday.
