Our society suffering from blackmail – Ihedioha

Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon Emeka Ihedioha, has lamented that the Nigerian society is suffering from blackmail.
Speaking at the inauguration of South East zone of the Nigerian Young Professionals Forum (NYPF) at the weekend, he regretted that “blackmail” was everywhere in the country as Nigerians left issues to be discussed and concentrated on lies.

He urged members of NYPF led by its National Chairman, Moses Saloko Siasia, to do something to correct the situation even though the challenge appeared to be enormous, so that issues capable of helping Nigeria’s development would always be discussed rather than the destructive ones.

Ihedioha, who seized the opportunity afforded by his speech to urge journalists to report events very well and those in service to serve well, reminded his audience that he had used the instrumentality of his office to give jobs to youths in the state and pledged to partner with the NYPF.

The Inauguration ceremony led to the emergence of Chima D. Anyaso as the chairman of the forum in the south east geo-political zone.
