Ondo: Amotekun, other security agencies foil 3 bank robberies 

The Western Security Network, code named Amotekun in collaboration with other security agencies in Ondo state have foiled three bank robberies in Southern senatorial area of the state.

While parading the coordinator of the seven-man gang, Fatai Baami and other thirty-six suspected criminals at the headquarters of the corps in Akure, the Amotekun Commander, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, said the suspect was arrested at Ode-Irele, in Irele local government area of the state based on useful information from the public, while the other six men  are still on the run.

Akogun Adeleye  stated that the suspected leader/coordinator of the seven-man gang robbery from Belva in Baoi local government area of Delta state confessed to the crime, saying they are in the state for duo operation of robbery and kidnapping.

He added that  Amotekun corps in collaboration with other security agencies and state governments were on manhunt of the gang robbers that fled to Delta state.

While confessing to the crime, Baami said he and his six gang were in the state for double operations of robbery and kidnapping. Also his wife, Aloro Angel testified against his husband that she warned him in the course of his discussion with other gang members, which fell on deaf ears.

Amongst those who were paraded are suspects that specialises in vandalisation of critical government assets. Some suspects were arrested with a trailer set to load pipes meant for the World Bank financed water project.
