Numana youth in Sanga local government area of Kaduna have condemned the recent protest by half-naked women in the council over killings by unknown gunmen in the area, saying that the people should have engaged Governor Mukhtar Yero on practical solutions to the killings and relief for the affected areas.

Leader of the youth under the aegis of Numana Youth Vanguard, Haruna Monday, said the protest was orchestrated by some disgruntled elements with mischievous tendencies for their wicked and parochial interests.
He said that not allowing the governor to see the affected villages has deprived the people of government assistance and relief particularly in the area of shelter and food.

He, however, appealed to Yero to reconsider the plight of the people and extend the assistance rendered people of Karshin Daji to their people.
“The Numana Youth Vanguard condemns in strong and unequivocal terms the protests in Sanga. We wish to state that we do not know the origin of the entire protest as it was not planned by the general people affected but by disgruntled mischief-makers who are desperately out to create an unwarranted negative impression despite all the laudable efforts of by the state government to bring peace and succour to Sanga local government.

“The partially naked protesting women who were dressed in black attires and obstructing traffic was strictly a Ninzon affair. The nature of the protest and the dressing is suggestive of an immorally contrived protest.
“The ugly act by the Ninzom women protesters has opened our eyes to see the mission of not allowing the state governor to visit our affected areas as that which is wickedly orchestrated to cause the people of Ankpong, Ambe, Ungwa Pa, Ungwar Haruna, Kobin, Fadan Karshi, Ningon Gari, Dogondaji, Juaran Goro, Hayin Kwata, Bokana, Kabamu and co to continue to suffer from crippling hunger and lack of shelter.
“We appreciate the efforts so far made by the silent achiever, our youth governor in providing security for the protection of lives and properties in Sanga, we wish to appeal for more security in our local government.”
