NPFL: Rangers subdue Remo stars, Plateau United hammer Heartland 

Rangers International of Enugu have  moved up to third position in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) following a 1-0 victory against Remo Stars at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu on Wednesday.

Kenechukwu Agu fired home the decisive goal four minutes before the hour mark.

Rangers have now amassed 37 points from 22 games.

At the Awka City Stadium, homers Heartland suffered a scandalous defeat as they were humiliated by Plateau United. The match ended 5-1 in favour of the visitors.

It was the biggest away win in the NPFL this season.

Olawale Doyeni, Lawrence Agbor, Nenrot Silas, Victor Makalala and Harrison Ebah were the goals scorers for Plateau United.

In Lagos, Akwa United lost by 1-2 to Sporting Lagos after scoring first. Other results are:Bayelsa 2-0 Doma United while the local derby between Katsina United and Kano Pillars ended 3-2 in favours of Katsina.
